      • The School of Biological Sciences at UC San Diego offers courses with numbers 100 through 189 that can be used to fulfill upper-division biology elective units. One quarter of BISP 195, up to four BIxx 194s, and one quarter of either BISP 193 or BISP 196/197/199 may be used as elective units. SIO 121, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 131, 132, 133, 134, 138, 147, 181, and 189 are additional electives that may be taken. The School of Biological Sciences residency requirement must be met by students.
      • There can be just one BISP 196/197/199 application for the major. The following quarters of BISP 195, 196, 197, or 199 may be used to fulfill prerequisites for colleges and universities.

Minimum Grade Requirement for Human Biology in UCSD

Any courses utilized to fulfill requirements for the biology major must be taken for a letter grade and completed with a C- or above.
All lower-division, upper-division, mandatory courses taken in other departments, as well as courses transferred and used to fulfill major requirements, are subject to the minimum grade requirement.
