Texas Tech University, often known as Texas Tech, Tech, or TTU, is a public research university in Lubbock, Texas, in the United States. It was once known as Texas Technological College.

At Texas Tech, there are now about 40,322 students enrolled (33,269 undergraduate and 7,053 graduate). 

Through its 13 colleges, the university provides more than 150 study course options to its students, in addition to 60 research centers and institutes.

First-time freshmen with exceptional academic records are eligible for the Freshman Presidential Scholarship, which is given on the basis of merit.

  • Stay enrolled full-time in a program of study at Texas Tech University;
  • Amass at least 30 TTU hours annually;
